Tips while Searching a job on Job sites

This blog is targeted towards those people who are aggressively searching for a job and not for casual job seekers.

One has to follow a approach while searching jobs in Naukri.com / Monster.com . I would suggest these two because most of the recruiters access this 2 sites for searching candiates in IT/ITES industry.

Read the points

1. Use proper title

Highlight your no. of experience along with Qualification and domain. Title is your first & last impression.

Eg: MBA with 2+ yrs of exp as Business Analyst in BFSI/SCM/Insurance Domain. (choose the appropriate one)
Eg: MCA/BE with 3+ yrs of exp in J2EE in CRM domain.

2. Use appropriate keywords in the keywords section of your online CV.

For eg: if you have 1+ years of exp in JAva, oracle, and banking domain. Keywords which can be used is : Java, J2EE, Oracle, Pl/Sql , Retial Banking, BFSI.
Give as many keywords as you can because most of the recruiter dont have much understanding of the technical terms.

3.The most important one -- am repeating my words , this has to be used by all the active job seekers.

Login to your job site, and update your CV. By doing this your CV will look fresh to the new employers who are searching for their potential candiates as the CV will have new date.

Any Employer/Consultant looking for a candidate will get the CV's which were updated recently.

You stand a good chance to get noticed, and now you are just a phone call away.

Hope this makes sense. I am looking forward to hear from you. Feel free to post your comments.
